Scrubs Up! Shooting Super Surgeons for Channel Four
I scrubbed up – quite literally – to visit The Royal Marsden in Chelsea to photograph the surgeon-stars of Channel Four’s extraordinary medical doc Super Surgeons: A Chance at Life, Season 2.
Operation Portrait
Shooting in an operating theatre at the end of a day’s procedures, we had a tight 90 minutes to setup & capture solo & group shots of the six surgeons.
It was a real privilege to meet & photograph these world-leading cancer specialists, each performing groundbreaking operations to treat patients others cannot.
Fresh from heavy surgery loads, they were interesting, erudite, articulate, impressive & humble. Watch the series, streaming now, & gasp in awe…

(And here’s the proof we really did don scrubs)
